Ooit bejubeld omwille van haar unieke film Christmas on Earth verdween deze energieke muze alsnog uit de annalen van de artistieke avant-garde. Tot consternatie van haar artistieke vrienden bekeerde Rubin zich plots tot het orthodoxe jodendom, met de ambitie de eerste vrouwelijke rabbijn te worden.
