Deze documentaire onderzoekt het leven en de mysterieuze dood van Ashraf Marwan, een Egyptische miljardair en Israëlische spion. Niet alleen de dood, maar ook het leven van Ashraf Marwan (1944-2007) is nog steeds met veel raadsels omgeven. Zowel Egypte als de Israëlische geheime dienst Mossad claimen hem als een held en een patriot, terwijl hij in de jaren zeventig lange tijd beide partijen tegen elkaar uitspeelde. Dit escaleerde in oktober 1973 in de bloedige Yom Kipoer-oorlog, waarna de landen een vrede sloten die decennia lang standhield.
